The Indian billionaire industrialist, Lakshmi Mittal (Lakshmi Narayan Mittal or Lakshmi Nivas Mittal) is the richest Indian for the fourth year in a row with a wealth of $51 billion. Forbes Magazine, India, conducted the survey to find out the richest person in India for 2007. Since 2005, the Indian born industrialist is the richest person residing in the United Kingdom.
Close in race is
Mukesh Ambani, who has recently been declared as world"s richest person. His net worth soared to $49 billion from $30.5billion, according to Forbes" India"s 40 Richest list for 2007. His younger brother Anil Ambani falls into the third position with a wealth of $45 billion that has been raised from the earlier $30.2billion.

Real estate giant Kushal Pal Singh of DLF with a worth of $35 billion overcomes Wipro"s Azim Premji from the fourth spot in the list, which for the first time features all billionaires.
The four richest Indians are worth an astonishing $180 billion. Notable drop-offs include Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal, Infosys" Nandan Nilekani and Senapathy Gopalakrishnan, and investor Rakesh.
