What's She Thinking About?
This has been shot in place called Pan Bazar in Guwahati. There are few places in the area which gives a very clear view of the mighty river, Brahamaputra. In fact, the river can be seen in the background of this photograph too.
With the setting sun and the huge river in front of my eyes, I obviously couldn't ask for more. So, I was all set with my camera, and then this lady walks up to the front. She kept mum all through out. All she did, was stare, stare with eyes wide open. I didn't know what the matter was. For sure, she was not trying to locate some body from the other end of the river. Then what was it? What was it that bothered her? I, soon, got my answers.
She is a native from one of the neighbouring districts of Assam, Nalbari. Her home, and everything she had, had been engulfed by the flood water.
She is just one of them who has accepted the faith. Hope is all they live with. crores of property get washed away with the floods in Assam, but little has been done till now. Millions of life get affected, and yet the Government look at it as though it were just like a yearly affair.
